Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Cancellation by Guest

Guests may cancel their confirmed bookings subject to the following conditions:

2. How to Cancel

  • Log into your BookMyLake account and navigate to My Bookings.
  • Select the booking you wish to cancel and click "Cancel Booking".
  • Cancellations can only be made for bookings with "Confirmed" status.
  • Self-service cancellation is available only if the booking date is more than 48 hours away.
  • For cancellations within 24-48 hours, please contact support.

3. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days.
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method (bank account or UPI linked to PhonePe).
  • Processing time may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

4. Cancellation by Operator

In rare cases, a campsite operator may cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, safety concerns, maintenance). In such cases:

  • You will receive a full refund (100%).
  • BookMyLake will notify you via email and attempt to offer alternative campsites.
  • BookMyLake is not liable for additional expenses incurred due to operator cancellations.

5. Modifications

Booking modifications (change of date, number of guests) are subject to availability. Please contact our support team at least 48 hours before your check-in date to request changes. Modification requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

6. Force Majeure

BookMyLake shall not be held liable for cancellations or service disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or civil unrest. In such cases, we will work to arrange refunds or alternative dates where possible.
